Learn the Hindi Word ऊर्जावान (Urjavan): Meaning, Pronunciation, Examples & Daily Usage | Day 2

Welcome to Shaheda Education Adventure (SEA) and Day 2 of the 60-Day Hindi Vocabulary Confidence Journey.

I’m Shaheda Akter Chowdhury, your teacher and the Founder, President & CEO of Shaheda Education Adventure.

This journey is designed to help you build practical Hindi vocabulary one word at a time. Instead of simply memorizing vocabulary, you’ll learn how words are understood, expressed, and used naturally in everyday communication.

In today’s lesson, we’re exploring ऊर्जावान (Urjavan) — a useful Hindi word for describing someone who is energetic, active, and full of motivation.

Today’s Hindi Word: ऊर्जावान (Urjavan)

Hindi: ऊर्जावान

Roman Transliteration: Urjavan

English Meaning: Energetic

The word ऊर्जावान (Urjavan) is used to describe someone or something full of energy, enthusiasm, or vitality.

It is especially useful when you want to describe a person’s energetic state, active mindset, or enthusiastic approach toward something.

How to Pronounce ऊर्जावान

Try saying:

ऊर्जावान — Urjavan

Break it down slowly:

Ur-ja-van

Now repeat it several times and allow the pronunciation to become natural.

When learning Hindi, pronunciation practice is important because knowing the written word alone is not enough. The goal is to become comfortable actually saying it.

What Does ऊर्जावान Mean in Hindi?

ऊर्जावान doesn’t simply describe physical strength.

You can use this word when someone feels energetic and motivated in different areas of life.

For example, you may feel energetic when:

आप सीखने को लेकर उत्साहित महसूस करते हैं।
Aap seekhne ko lekar utsahit mahsus karte hain.
You feel excited about learning.

आपका मन सक्रिय और ताज़ा महसूस करता है।
Aapka man sakriya aur taza mahsus karta hai.
Your mind feels active and fresh.

आप और अधिक करना चाहते हैं, कम नहीं।
Aap aur adhik karna chahte hain, kam nahi.
You want to do more, not less.

These situations show why vocabulary becomes much more meaningful when you learn it through real experiences rather than through a dictionary definition alone.

How to Say “I Am Feeling Energetic” in Hindi

A useful sentence to remember is:

मैं ऊर्जावान महसूस कर रहा हूँ।
Main urjavan mahsus kar raha hoon.
I am feeling energetic.

This sentence allows you to describe your current state while expressing a sense of motivation and energy.

ऊर्जावान vs ऊर्जा

Here’s an important distinction for Hindi learners.

ऊर्जा (Urja) means energy.

ऊर्जावान (Urjavan) means energetic.

So:

ऊर्जा = energy

ऊर्जावान = energetic

For example, you can talk about having energy with ऊर्जा, while you can describe a person as energetic with ऊर्जावान.

Understanding this difference will help you choose the right word when speaking or writing Hindi.

Native-Style Hindi Examples

Let’s look at some practical examples.

Example 1

English: I am feeling quite energetic today.

Hindi: आज मैं बहुत ऊर्जावान महसूस कर रहा हूँ।

Roman: Aaj main bahut urjawan mehsoos kar raha hoon.

Example 2

English: He is an energetic boy who enjoys sports.

Hindi: वह एक ऊर्जावान लड़का है जो खेल का आनंद लेता है।

Roman: Vah ek urjawan ladka hai jo khel ka anand leta hai.

These examples show how ऊर्जावान can be used naturally to describe an energetic person or an energetic state.

Your Turn: Practice ऊर्जावान

Now it’s your turn.

Create one sentence about yourself using ऊर्जावान (Urjavan).

For example, you could describe how energetic you feel today, how you feel when learning something new, or when you have enough energy to accomplish your goals.

Write your sentence in the comments and say it aloud.

Remember: Energy grows when you use your voice.

Speaking a new word repeatedly helps turn passive vocabulary into vocabulary you can actually use.
